Joel has been on an alcohol kick lately, and it all started with a church movie.
We were watching one of the Living Scripture movies, and in it there were people eating, drinking and being merry. So Joel asked what they were drinking and we told him it was alcohol. We also explained to him how bad it was and that we should never drink it.
Well Justin took Joel to the store and decided that he wanted to get some Sparkling Cider. Now Joel who had recently learned about alcohol said, "Dad you can't buy that, it is alcohol, it will hurt your tummy." Justin explained to him that it was apple juice, and that it just looked like an alcohol bottle,then took him over and showed him what the real stuff looked like. But of course later when we opened the bottle to drink it, Joel doesn't ask for apple juice, he asks for some alcohol.
I was hoping he was over his newly found obsession, but the next time we went shopping and we passed the aisles and aisles of alcohol, Joel loudly states,
"MOM LETS BUY SOME MORE ALCOHOL!!!"
I don't think he's getting it. Darn those Living Scripture movies.

Oh how funny! I would have loved to have been there to hear Joel yell that out! Those living scriptures videos sure can make a mess of things. :)
