Last night Bailee ate salad. She had not one, or two but three helpings of just the lettuce, plus three helpings of the sugar snap peas. I'm still in shock.
Now I need to rethink my life, because if Bailee can eat salad than anything is possible. Or maybe I'm living in an alternate reality and I don't even know it. Either way the impossible has just happened, like I said, I'm speechless!!!

Memorial Day weekend!!!

This is my dads new "baby", he took me to the bike store to try on helmets that he could use for his grand kids, then we took the new helmet for a test ride. This was scary for me because every time I have been on a motorcycle I've crashed. But surprisingly it was really relaxing and fun, that was until we went on the freeway and went 80 mph. I was hanging on for dear life.
We had so much fun in Oregon, we also went fishing with my sister and her kids but again I forgot my camera, so no pictures of that. It was so pretty, green and most importantly not windy there that it made it hard to come home, but hopefully we can go back and stay for good. But that is another story :)

The price we pay!!!
So I bought some popsicles the other day, and it brought back some memories of growing up. One time in particular stands outs.
Our family had discovered what we thought were the best popsicles in the world, but the problem was we all fought over the same flavor, cherry- lemonade. (For those of you who don't know my family we are lemonade lovers!!!!! )
Anyways, we had run out of popsicles....again, and my dad and I decided to go to the store and get some more. Well on the way home we thought of the best idea, we would each eat two of the coveted flavor in the car, tie the bag back up and when we get home we would help ourselves to some more. It was the perfect plan, nobody but us would know, and than everyone else would have to settle for the not so good flavors. Well our plan was going perfect, we hid all the evidence and nobody suspected anything, life was good. Or so it seemed that way. We forgot to take into account that one person was watching us the entire time, and thought it was about time to teach us a lesson.(yes I'm talking about the man upstairs, who knows our thoughts and sees and hears everything) Half way through our 4th popsicle our lips started to hurt, and swell and bleed, it hurt soooo bad. But we were determined to finish our popsicles.
Divine intervention?
I think we got what we deserved, we came clean with our family, my dad and I never did that again, and I vowed never to eat those popsicles again :)

Our children sang as they hiked and hiked....and hiked!!
Today we went hiking at Manastash Ridge, and for those of you who are from Ellensburg probably know what is is, but for those of you who don't it is about a 2 mile hike uphill the entire time. We hiked through all those hills to the right side of the tip top of that tall mountain you see.It really isn't that hard, but with three little ones it presents more of a challenge. But I am really proud of my kids because they made it to the top and back down with minimul carrying and recieved many compliments from the other hikers . Even Sydney hike the first mile or so. It took us about 3 1/2 hours to do, mainly because we had to stop and look at all the bugs, pick all the flowers, and pet everyones dogs that were going up and coming down. We met a lot of really nice people. We also stopped and ate lunch half way and spent some time at the top. At the top is a book for people to sign, so of course we signed it and I was ready to document the occasion, but realized that I left my camera in the van, oops, so these are the best pictures I could get, sorry. But here is what our kids looked like when we got into the van, they were soooo tired, (we really should do this more often)
We love hiking as a family and I am looking forward to the nice weather so we can do this every weekend, but I hope that it creates some good memories for our kids.Sunday, May 3, 2009
I need Help!!

I'm not trying to wear everyone out with showing all of our new pictures, but I can't decide which one I want for my big picture in the living room. If I had it my way I would blow up all of them to hang up, but since I can't do that I need your help. So here are the candidates...(Keep in mind that my family is not very photogenic so someone is always looking away or making a goofy face)
