Anyone know where my family went?

So I just have to tell everyone that today was a good day, which is very rare for a Sunday. Typical Sundays for us are.... well there are no words to describe how awful Sundays are for us. But today was so peaceful and nice. Everyone got along, Joel and Bailee only had to be in time-outs twice for the whole day, (and that was only because they were jumping on their beds after they were asked not to). I don't think Justin or myself got angry at all, everyone played without having to be entertained by mom or the t.v.(OK that sounds bad, but it is a sanity saver) And the icing on the cake.... we were actually able to stay for all of church. Bailee stayed in the chapel for all but the last ten minutes, this is so rare, I think I'm still in shock. Usually we don't even make it past the opening song before we throw in the towel and go home.

Well I hope wherever this family came from they stick around for awhile because it is really enjoyable. Maybe they will come back and visit next Sunday :)

Overcomming the fear!!!

OK so, everyone that knows me knows that I fear Bailee. Well maybe not so much her but what she does, especially out in public.

She has stripped in a grocery store, ran into a meeting and ran up on stage in front of a power point presentation and refused to come down, locked herself in a closest, pushed an emergency button in a doctors office, that's just to name a few and that's not including the many fits she has thrown.

Well I've decided that I'm not going to give into that fear anymore (or at least I'm going to try not to). Bailee just started a dance class and in June they are going to have a Recital, and I've decided to have her be in it. Now I know what everyone is thinking, I'm crazy right. Can you imagine what she would do up on stage in-front of a lot of people, without a restraining harness and music playing ? Believe me I've thought of all the possibilities, the first that came to my mind was, Bailee taking her clothes off while running around in circles, doing her evil giggle that she does(Her dad would be so proud). The possibilities are endless with her. But in the words of my good friend Chelsi (thank you Chelsi) "you'll never know what she'll do unless you give it a try."

So I'm going to try and let go of the past/present and probably the future, PRAY A LOT and hope for a miracle. Who knows maybe she will do well, I have atleast 5 months to mentally and emotionally prepare for what will come.

Swimming in the Middle of Winter!!!

OK so it really doesn't feel like winter but it is still that time of year, and this isn't a swimming picture but it is still cute.

Anyways today was Sydneys first swimming lesson. She was so cute, she had a lot of fun singing the songs and splashing and kicking. But her favorite thing to do was jump off of the ledge. But if she wasn't doing any of those things she was hanging on to me tighter than a monkey, man she has a tight grip for a little girl. At least I can take comfort that she wasn't the only child screaming when I tried putting her on her back or stomach. But as luck would have it when it was time to go she started warming up to the water and loosening her grip on me, and when we got out of the water she started whinning and saying "More water, more water.......bye water."

I think next time will be better, or at least I hope. And in a few years she can teach me how to swim :)

Starting out the New Year!!

Joel was tired of waiting for me to do the dishes so he decided to take matter into his own hands. He filled up the sinks washed them by hand and then put them in the dishwasher. This pan he scrubbed for ten minutes until it was spotless. What a good helper!!!

I think they are a little confused on where the paint is suppose to go.

Awww... so cute!!

We were coloring the other day and Bailee wrote her name all by herself. It's a little jumbled (I wrote what the letters were underneath), but still pretty good for her first time. I was so excited.

Any guesses on who Joel is? I'll give you a clue
"Ever wonder how I got these scars?"
Can you guess who painted him?
