I keep having this reoccurring dream. In it Bailee is in front of me running, and I am behind her running as fast as I can and I can never catch her. Well on Saturday this dream came true.
The Story....
We were at my sisters house, and us grown-ups were in the living room watching a basketball game, when all of a sudden my niece came running in the house saying,
" Bailee is in the middle of the street with her bike, and a car is coming"
I jump up thinking she has been hit by a car, but when I get outside it is a much different picture than what I expected. I look in the street but I don't see Bailee, all I see is a bike on the side of the road and a flash of purple go around the corner.
I think "Oh Crap" and take off as fast as my flip flops will take me. When I turn the corner she is no where in sight, so I run faster. I turn the next corner and there she is 2 1/2 blocks in front of me.
By this time I am trying to run fast (but you know how hard it is to run and keep flip flops on your feet, I am sure the neighbors were very amused by this) and yelling at Bailee to stop. She shows no signs of letting up, but when she turns around and sees me, she takes off even faster. I feel completely helpless, just like in my dreams, I can see the her and the danger in front of her but I can't do anything about it. This is a race I cannot win, she has the lead with the speed and determination to keep going. Recognizing that I can't do this a lone I say a quick prayer.
7- 8 blocks later, I finally catch up to Bailee at a dead end. Thank goodness!!!
Walking home I realized several things:
First: The dead end was an answer to my prayers
Second: Heavenly Father was watching out for Bailee, even when I thought she was safely tucked away in the backyard. The older kids had decided to go on a bike ride and opened the fence letting Bailee out, she tried to take off after the kids but couldn't keep up. Thank goodness for my niece who came and told us where Bailee was, otherwise we would have had no idea where she was or even that she was gone. Finding her would have been a lot harder. It is scary to think where she could have ended up.
Third: My Dad was right when he asked me, why I was training for a Marathon when, training to run sprints would be more useful :)
I feel very grateful that everything ended up the way it did, I know that Heavenly Father was watching out for us. Other than an elevated heart rate and shin splints everyone was okay.
Now I can put this story in the pile of things to blackmail Bailee with when she gets older :)

I guess I should catch up on some things. So here we go,
The girls have really been into Cinderella, so I thought it would be fun to make them some dresses. They love them and the best part is, when they get into them, they start cleaning!! They got out a buckets and rags and started cleaning the floor while singing, it was so cute!!

A long 4 days
Last week Justin was lucky enough to go, on a trip to the Grand Canyon with his Dad. Here are just a few pictures from his trip.

There are a few things that I learned while Justin was gone for 4 days:
1st- I don't sleep as well when I have the bed to myself. This surprised me, because normally I'm pushing him back to his side of the bed and playing tug-a-war with the blankets. I guess I don't have the security and peace of mind, with out my protector.
2nd- I would make a terrible single mom, and my kids would be pretty screwed up. Lets just say bed time got moved to 5:30 every night, there were a lot of fits, yelling.........and a lot of repenting( mostly by me).
3rd- I used to say that I am a mom of 4 kids, that included Justin. I will no longer say that. While Justin was away I realized how much he did do, and the balance that he created. If one of us was having hard time with the kids the other person would take over. When you are by yourself there is no one to take over and be the loving, calming parent for your kids. Plus he is the one that always makes sure the kids are fed, I didn't do very well at that(Maybe that is why the kids were so cranky, oops)
Thank Goodness for Husbands!!!!!!

Ahhh, Isn't this so sweet.

In Training
So I am excited to announce that I am training for a Marathon!!!!!!!
(The only reason I am posting this, is not to brag, but if I tell people, then I can't back out of it ;)
I have always wanted to do one, but never had the courage to do it. For some reason, I have always been afraid of running. I have always felt like physically I could be a runner, but mentally I could never get myself there. (I don't know if that makes sense) But thanks to my sis-in law, who invited family members to do one with her in December, I jumped on board and decided that now is a good time to do one.
I am super excited and I have an excellent trainer helping me. I have been going to the gym 5 days a week 3 of those days are running/cardio and two are lifting weights. But I think my trainer has it in for me because he keeps adding ridiculous amounts of weights to my routine.
He has had me bench pressing 75 pounds, and doing bar squats with 105 pounds. I don't know if he is trying to train me or kill me, but I guess we will find out. Just kidding, Justin has been awesome, I trust him and know that he knows what he is doing, and I know I will be fully trained and prepared when the time comes.
Yesterday I ran 4 miles, so now I only have 22.2 to go!
